Toni Kroos ist ein ehemaliger deutscher Fußballspieler, der am 4. Januar 1990 in Greifswald geboren wurde. Seine ersten fußballerischen Schritte machte er beim Greifswalder SC, wo sein Vater als Jugendtrainer arbeitete, und später bei Hansa Rostock. Bereits in jungen Jahren zeichnete sich sein außergewöhnliches Talent ab.
Im Alter von 16 Jahren wechselte Kroos zum FC Bayern München, wo er zunächst in der Jugend spielte. Nach einer Leihe zu Bayer 04 Leverkusen gelang ihm dort der Durchbruch, bevor er zum FC Bayern zurückkehrte und ab der Saison 2010/11 fester Bestandteil der ersten Mannschaft wurde. Mit den Bayern feierte er große Erfolge, darunter drei deutsche Meisterschaften, drei Pokalsiege und den Gewinn der Champions League im Jahr 2013.
2014 wagte Kroos den Schritt ins Ausland und wechselte zu Real Madrid. Auch dort setzte er seine Erfolgsserie fort und gewann unter anderem vier spanische Meisterschaften und fünf weitere Champions-League-Titel. Sein letztes Spiel für Real Madrid war das Champions-League-Finale 2024, das er gewann und sich damit seinen insgesamt sechsten Titel in diesem Wettbewerb sicherte.
Von 2010 bis 2024 spielte Kroos für die deutsche Nationalmannschaft. Er nahm an drei Weltmeisterschaften und vier Europameisterschaften teil und krönte seine Nationalmannschaftskarriere mit dem Gewinn des Weltmeistertitels 2014 in Brasilien. Nach der EM 2024 beendete Toni Kroos seine beeindruckende Karriere im Alter von 34 Jahren und hinterließ eine riesige Lücke.
