Janet Gaynor (* 6. Oktober 1906 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; † 14. September 1984 in Palm Springs, Kalifornien, eigentlich Laura Augusta Gainor) war eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin. In den späten 1920er- und 1930er-Jahren konnte sie vor allem in der Rolle der jungen Naiven Erfolge verzeichnen und bildete an der Seite von Charles Farrell ein populäres Leinwandpaar. Auf der Oscarverleihung 1929 gewann sie den ersten Oscar als beste Darstellerin.
