Miroslav Klose ist ein deutscher Fußballtrainer und ehemaliger -spieler, der am 9. Juni 1978 in Opole, Polen geboren wurde. Er spielte in seiner aktiven Zeit als Stürmer für verschiedene Vereine, darunter der 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen, der FC Bayern München in der Bundesliga und Lazio Rom in der Serie A. Mit dem FC Bayern konnte er zwei Mal das Double gewinnen und mit Lazio Rom holte er den italienischen Pokal. Seine ersten fußballerischen Schritte machte Klose in der Jugend der SG Blaubach-Diedelkopf. Über die Bezirksliga Westpfalz und den FC 08 Homburg gelang ihm der Sprung zum 1. FC Kaiserslautern, wo er zunächst in der zweiten Mannschaft spielte. Sein Bundesliga-Debüt feierte er im April 2000. In der Saison 2000/01 wurde er Stammspieler und Publikumsliebling. Nach zwei weiteren Jahren wechselte Klose zu Werder Bremen, wo er sich als Torschützenkönig der Bundesliga 2005/06 einen Namen machte. Danach zog es ihn zum FC Bayern München, mit dem er mehrere Titel gewann. Im Jahr 2011 wechselte Klose zu Lazio Rom, wo er bis 2016 spielte und den italienischen Pokal gewann. Er entschied sich für die deutsche Nationalmannschaft und debütierte dort im März 2001. Klose nahm an mehreren Weltmeisterschaften teil und wurde 2002 Vizeweltmeister. Bei der WM 2006 wurde er Torschützenkönig und 2014 krönte er seine Karriere mit dem Weltmeistertitel. Mit 71 Toren ist Klose Rekordtorschütze der deutschen Nationalmannschaft und hält mit 16 Treffern den WM-Torrekord. Nach seinem Rücktritt aus der Nationalmannschaft im August 2014 beendete er seine aktive Karriere und begann eine Laufbahn als Trainer. Er trainierte die U17 des FC Bayern München, war Co-Trainer der Profimannschaft und übernahm später den Cheftrainerposten beim SCR Altach. Seit Juni 2024 trainiert Klose den 1. FC Nürnberg.
