Klaus Eberhartinger ist ein österreichischer Sänger, Moderator und Entertainer, der am 12. Juni 1950 in Gmunden geboren wurde. Bekannt wurde er vor allem als Frontmann der Ersten Allgemeinen Verunsicherung, kurz EAV. Abseits der Musik war er auch im Fernsehen aktiv, unter anderem als Moderator der Tanzshow "Dancing Stars", wo er selbst auch als Teilnehmer und Jurymitglied in Erscheinung trat. Eberhartinger verbrachte seine Jugend in Braunau am Inn und machte dort 1968 sein Abitur. Nach einem einjährigen Aufenthalt in den USA begann er in Graz ein Medizinstudium. Während des Studiums lernte er die Schwester von Thomas Spitzer kennen, der später sein Bandkollege bei der EAV wurde. Seine musikalischen Ambitionen gab er jedoch zunächst auf. In seiner Studienzeit engagierte er sich beim Kommunistischen Studierendenverband. Nach Konflikten mit konservativen Professoren unterbrach Eberhartinger sein Studium und arbeitete in München, bevor er mit einem Land Rover Afrika bereiste. Nach seiner Rückkehr setzte er sein Studium in Graz fort, bis er 1981 zur EAV stieß. 1985 kam sein Sohn zur Welt, mit dessen Mutter er bis zu ihrem Tod im Jahr 2018 ein freundschaftliches Verhältnis pflegte. Seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre verbrachte Eberhartinger einen Großteil des Jahres in Kenia, wo auch Spitzer ein Haus besaß. Neben den zahlreichen Veröffentlichungen und Tourneen mit der EAV übernahm er zeitweise die Rolle der Gailtalerin in dem Bühnenstück "Der Watzmann ruft". Im Jahr 2007 gewann er die dritte Staffel von "Dancing Stars", obwohl er sich kurz zuvor eine Rippe gebrochen hatte. Danach moderierte er die vierte Staffel und war in der fünften Staffel Juror. Von der sechsten bis zur dreizehnten Staffel kehrte er als Moderator zurück. Neben "Dancing Stars" moderierte Eberhartinger auch andere Sendungen wie "Quiz Champion" auf ATV und "Einer gegen 100" im ORF. Er war auch regelmäßig Gast in der ORF-Rateshow "Was gibt es Neues?". Im März 2008 veröffentlichte er sein Buch "Sex, Lachs & Rock’n’Roll". Im Sommer desselben Jahres spielte er in der Operette "Im weißen Rößl" bei den Seefestspielen in Mörbisch. 2016 sang er mit Schmidhammer den offiziellen Song zur Fußball-Europameisterschaft. Von Februar bis September 2019 absolvierte Eberhartinger mit der EAV eine Abschiedstournee, die mit einem Konzert in der Wiener Stadthalle endete. Im November 2020 verriet Eberhartinger, dass er eine fünfjährige Tochter hat. Im Februar 2021 wurde er in der ersten Folge von "The Masked Singer Austria" entlarvt. Im Januar 2026 wurde bekannt, dass Eberhartinger im Alter von 75 Jahren erneut Vater geworden ist und mit seiner Frau aus Kenia dort lebt.
