Jonathan D. Bennett wurde am 10. Juni 1981 in Rossford, Ohio, geboren und ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Seine Leidenschaft für das Theater begann schon früh, als er in der 7. Klasse in North Carolina sein erstes Stück spielte. Er setzte seine Theateraktivitäten fort, als er nach Toledo, Ohio, zog. Nachdem er Schulsprecher war, beendete er 1999 erfolgreich die Schule. Seine Theaterausbildung führte ihn schließlich nach New York, wo er von einem Produzenten im Zug entdeckt und direkt unter Vertrag genommen wurde. Nur sechs Monate später erhielt er seine erste Rolle in "All My Children". Im April 2012 spielte er die Hauptrolle in dem Psychothriller "The Secret Village" neben Ali Faulkner, Stelio Savante und Richard Riehle, der von Swampy Kandan inszeniert wurde. Im Herbst 2014 offenbarte Bennett während seiner Teilnahme an "Dancing with the Stars" in einem Interview, dass er homosexuell ist. Früher war er kurzzeitig mit Matt Dallas liiert. 2020 verlobte sich sein Partner Jaymes Vaughan mit Bennett am Set von "The Christmas House". Sie heirateten schließlich am 19. März 2022. Abseits der Schauspielerei war Bennett auch als Moderator von Kochshows tätig und arbeitete als Lehrer in Los Angeles.
