Später spielte O’Neal noch für die Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers und Boston Celtics, bevor er 2011 seinen Rücktritt bekannt gab. Abseits des Spielfelds war Shaquille O’Neal auch als Rapper und Schauspieler tätig. Er veröffentlichte mehrere Alben und spielte in Filmen wie "Kazaam" und "Steel Man" mit.
